You are definitely right there, he is one of the best guitarists in Canada and can play with the best of them. He can play equally amazing country/rock/fusion/jazz stuff.

My brother is a good friend of his from their time at McGill and when Pierre came to Tokyo recently he actually stopped by my place and tried a bunch of my Japanese-made guitars. I got to see him play a bunch up close and later on they had a big jam session with a bunch of the major jazz players in Tokyo at a club in honor of a drummer who had passed away. Pierre played one song and that was enough, he absolutely smoked.

i recently saw him at alain caron show.
you know, all of us came to see wicked bass playing.
then pierre started soloing and everybody was blown away by his playing
then i heard his chicken picking and i thought wow this guy is one of the best
