Re: What 3 chords do it for you?

Cowboy G/C/D
and E- A- B7
Usually in 4 but I can do 3 when I think about it

Used to be D/ A/G back in my twenties.
I've progressed a lot, eh?

Actually I'm all about riffs at the nut ,having been raised on early Aerosmith and all.

I love the three chord progression at the end of Yes' "Starship Trooper".

Re: What 3 chords do it for you?

I find myself gravitating around the V IV I...partly because any order you throw those three together works and you can easly move through different keys and/or styles by adding a b7th...so it is great to have a bluesy sounding progression change into a maj sounding one or vice verse....

hey the relationship between those chords is what Rimsky-Korsakov based his whole understanding of music on (in a genral sense), explained in his book Principles of Orchestration

Re: What 3 chords do it for you?

Howdy,
My all time fave chord is plain old E, after that comes Am and B. Maybe one day I will get one of those 7 stringers so I can get a bit more low. Any minor chord would have to be on the list I guess as well.
Cheers! Tralf

Re: What 3 chords do it for you?

Probably more a question of intervals than chords for me.
