Mars. Isn't he like, 185 years old?

I keed, I keed.

I read that he has to take a physicial therapist out on the road with him to keep limber enough to actually do the shows. Rock on, Mick.

Intelligence ... Words to keep him alive as he comes of age. I've seen a few guitarists die from drug overdoses, following their heroes.

Now, go after the ones laughing at him. Didn't you see those? Or is laughing at him alright with you?

Cool!

Musical Genius is all personal taste. There are many guitar players I would definitely put in that category, it isn't limited to old piano players.

Rock on dude! But, PEI is still smaller than newfoundland

Guys i just wanna say i like mick because umm .. i dunno ? I LIKE HIS MUSIC ? =O i know that growing up these times is terrible musically >_> i didnt like hip hop so i looked into other genres. when i heard " Dr. Feelgood " for the first time, i grew a smile from ear to ear and got goose bumps on my arms xD i know that some of the stuff i said is TOTALLY incorrect .. i know NFLD isn't the smallest island in Canada .. i was trying to instate the fact that ITS PRETTY DAMN SMALL :P

.. maybe i should stop skipping school and going to the guitar store

Mick is an awesome, AWESOME guitarist.... How many of you could go up on stage with Ankylosing Spondilitis night after night & rock the place while playing a style of music that isn't your preference?

Not to mention his tone is fuckin godly

Edit: & I don't beleive that The Dirt is a work of fiction... Alot of the things that happened in the book were discussed in The Heroin Diaries.

Man, I wish I was into rock when I was 13.. it didn't start until I was a freshman. Man, if I would've started guitar then instead of late Sophmore year, I'd be a beast

Yeah that clip off Ytube is the good Crew era. The next song, Live Wire IS the MM tone.
Not a rip it up lead guy, but can shread, bone crushing rythem, from multi track lines in the studio as he stated in GP last mo.

Wiki says different on Mars's POB?

Re: Mick Mars of Motley Crue, WTF >!?

I've got my Leathur Records copy....Too Fast For Love & Shout at the Devil were GREAT metal records. They set the bar for the LA scene in my opinion.

Mick's playing gets overlooked. He does what he does quite well & has always been one of my favorites in the metal scene.

How in the hell could anyone have anything bad to say about Mick. He's a rocker all the way.

His guitar tone killed on Too Fast For Love! Nasty good.

None taken.

Call it what you will. I lived it.

Motley was bad ass on the first two records...however you choose to label them.

Srsly. Everyone has their musical heroes, if it wasn't for the Spaceman I wouldn't have played guitar either. And though I like Ace, I know there are way better guitarists out there.

Musicians have to do what the music asks... You really want the John Petrucci-way of playing on a Mötley song?

Mars is perfect for the Crüe.

EXACTLY!!!
I am glad you got my point. I thought some would think I was slamming Ace.

If you like a guy, and he gets you to play guitar, who gives a shit what anybody says. As you said Mick is perfect for what he does and who he plays for.

joking aside, i agree he is a good guitarist. "If I die Tomorrow'' (rock ballad) has some real tasteful (!?) licks and great tone.....
