Audley Freed and his R4
R4 - Pedalboard - Matchless Lightning w/ Reeves R1x12W cab. Killer player! Jackie's 335 sounds great too. |

Re: Audley Freed and his R4
Audley is fantastic. One of my "newer" favs as far as guitarists go.
He's in a new band with Peter Stroud (who is my by far my favorite "modern" guitarist if you will in the sense of guys playing today that are recent and session guys) and some other guys that are recording a Southern Rock style album together in a band called "Big Hat". There is a Facebook page about it. I can't wait to hear it. Both Peter and Audley are fantastic. Peter is one of my modern heroes. A great player and a super nice guy to talk to and very humble. I've talked to him a couple of times online (mainly through Twitter/Facebook) and he's always kind. I loved that "Ohio" clip.

Re: Audley Freed and his R4
Man, that scratchy stuttering opening lick to Ohio is so recognizable and deserves a place in the memorable guitar lick hall of fame.
