Keith Urban Rig Rundown

Regardless if you like his music - Keith is a big gearhead, Gibson collector/player, and always seems to have good tone. He has a lot of great pedals in his rack too ranging from mass produced MXR stuff to boutique Analogman pedals. I'm not a HUGE fan of his music but I do like his playing, tone, and taste in gear (particularly pedals). I thought I'd post this for not only Keith Urban fans but for those of us who just love watching Rig Rundowns or are interested in his gear (myself). Lots of old Gibsons in this rig (LPs and 335s).

It's a great looking guitar. One of the first '52s without binding on the neck and the trapeze.

Yeah I've seen this. I really love those rig rundown features by PG. But man, this rigsetup is making my head hurt. If something goes wrong, how the hell does that dude figure it out?

Haha! I actually really like his rig by design, it makes me feel less bad for having so many overdrives in my board myself (they are my weakness). I think I counted 6 and I have 5 and plans to get many more. I do understand what you are saying though. But I'm too much of a pedal geek to keep it simple... Luckily I've never ran into trouble yet of something going wrong....knock on wood! If I had to go without my pedalboard I'd cry like a little girl! It's become a permanent part of my playing that I can't get away from.

Just saw Keith tonight. Not a big fan, but that man can play the guitar. Holy cow. And his tone is a freaking thing of beauty.

Re: Keith Urban Rig Rundown

Very cool! I hope to see him live someday. My favorite pedal builder, Brian Wampler, is working on an overdrive pedal for him that will be out hopefully soon that is in prototype stages. It's very likely he used it when you saw him as he is testing out the proto's to come to a final product that I will definitely buy. He just got the first proto last week. I love the Brad Paisley Wampler pedal as well. Can do much more than Country too.

Premier Guitar deleted their original videos and reuploaded them - that's why.

Re: Keith Urban Rig Rundown

That banjo/guitar thing in the first video is freaking awesome. He played all of those guitars. My fave was the Gold Top.
