Hows this?
Me and my friend have been writing and recording some tunes. the first song on the page is one that we recorded. he plays piano and sings and i play guitar and sing backup. what do you think? Sun and Ocean is the name of the song. it may be a little rough, we record in his front room

Re: Hows this?
.
Lovely lyric idea, lovely overall feel to it - work on it some. It and you deserve better recording quality (probably better equipment). Plinkety-plink piano sound way too up-front - drop it down in the mix. Could barely hear your guitar against the piano..... Vocal pitch issues (on harmonies especially) - you probably need to get better monioring for the vocals as you sing them so you can hear the notes. But the words and melody sound good, nice "feel" to it. Work on it. .

thanks man. we lack gear haha so we recorded piano and guitar at the same time with one mic. that doesnt exacly yield the best results. But we are trying!

. . . Well worth persevering with - beg, steal or borrow some recording gear..... . . . .

Re: Hows this?
i uploaded another song that we did. Getting a good mix is really sort of trial and error for me but for the limited equipment i think this turned out a little better than the other song. my guitar sounds a bit weak though

Re: Hows this?
Well, you know. Crappy 12 bar blues and someone trying to play as fast as the could. I never expected it to actually be, well.......musical music. My favorite kind.

We just need vocals and piano and it should be done. its sort of funny, ive ended up posting pretty much the whole EP/demo and i really didnt mean to. but whatever, its getting the music out there i guess and that tough to do. All music by plowry26 it should be the very first song

Re: Hows this?
Luckily decent recording gear does not cost what it did years ago. Do your homework and try to sort out the marketing hype. Quality gear is out there at a fair price.
BTW, I really think your songs have great potential. Nice job |

Re: Hows this?
Thanks man. A lot of it is really just trying to get the stuff out quickly and the quality sort of takes a hit on that. but Mike is going away to college next month and that will sort of put a halt on everything so i guess that will give me time to pick up some new gear. it all works out
