Cool Favorite music groups that you like?

No doubt that I love Fall Out Boy.. they are my number one in my heart.

I also like Panic! at the Disco, Evanscence, Green Day, Blink 182, and Backstreet Boys.

What about yours? *Zooms to listen to It Ain't a Scene, It's Arms Race song*

Classic rock, some grunge, ala Alice in Chain, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, although I though it was just rock. Old time country, some jazz. One of my current favorites is Norah Jones, NOBODY sounds like her!!

All time fave is AC/DC, without question.

I like a very wide range of music. I enjoy stuff like Frank Zappa and Neil Young, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, Frank Sinatra and Jimi Hendrix, Waylon Jennings and George Jones, and Snoop Dogg and Outkast. I tend to like everything except for most Top 40 generic crapola

favourite music

Are we just talking Les Paul players?

Jimi always gets my vote - even though he hardly ever touched an LP

What about Free, Cream, Led Zep, Jeff Beck, early Fleetwood mac
I think all these players have given the Les Paul a reputation as a classic rock (blues rock) guitar...... funny that they are all British.....

What about the original players in the fifties? Are the first Les Paul users all forgotten? (except Mr Les Paul himself)

There are a lot of bands that I like, but if I had to pick 1 or 2, they would be Iron Maiden and GnR/VR.

There was a time when into bands like King Diamond.

Many of the ones mentioned above. One band that I just discovered is Storyville with David Grissom and David Holt on guitars although they've been around for a while now. Just bought their new live CD/DVD set, and I love watching & listening to them!

Re: Favorite music groups that you like?

jpatrickgreen pretty well sums up my all-time favourite band, Zep had it all as far as I'm concerned.

After Zep it's a mixed bag - Rush, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Doobies, Queen, Alan Parsons, Robben Ford, and quite a few more... basically bands that put some thought into their music and produce strong melodies.

Re: Favorite music groups that you like?

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin.......

Ted Nugent
ZZ Top

The Eagles (Come on, Felder and Walsh did some KILLER guitar work!)

LYNYRD SKYNYRD!!! ( I can't BELIEVE No one has mention them before now!
They were the guitar ARMY of the 70's!)

Savoy Brown (Check out the slide guitar in "Tell Mama", and you'll know what
I mean. That's LP he's using for that, too!)

Allman Brothers (But only with Duane. I think they lost a lot after he passed)

Steely Dan - (Try playing Jeff Baxter's licks to "My Old School" sometime)

Santana - One of the best of all time.

Hendrix

Creedence/John Fogerty - Check out his DVD "The Long Way Home"

The Electric Flag - (Mike Bloomfield, anyone???)

Molly Hatchet - Balls-to-the-wall southern rock

AC/DC - Got ALL Of their stuff!

The Beatles - Early inspiration, made me want to play guitar

Rolling Stones - Early stuff, while Brian Jones was with them. Cut my early
guitar teeth on that stuff.
Jet - Recent Rockers that kick ass!

Blue Oyster Cult
Tom Petty
