Not gonna lie, when I heard that backwards song on their most recent album being combined with another, it was pretty mindblowing.

Pretty genius if you ask me. I could care less for his other band, but i believe Tool is as mathy as it gets these days.

Adam uses a different guitar for Parabol/Parabola, correct? I've heard that it's a natural-finished LP custom. Anyone have any info on it?

Also, I put up some posters to complete my "command center"

Yes, Adam used the natural-finish LP for Parabol/Parabola. It's not a tone thing, so much as a quick change thing...the tuning is different, so using a different guitar, keeps things moving. He's used this natural finish LP for Prison Sex as well as The Pot on the tail end of the 10,000 Days tour when Maynard's voice was going out. At first the "down" tuning helped, then they cut the song from live performances altogether. Anyway, no idea what year the guitar is, probably around the same vintage as the Silverbursts. And, there's no guarantee that he used the natural on the album, because he would have all the time in the world to tune the guitar...so who knows, lol. Anyway, just my take on it, opinion, etc.

Yeah, I knew it was mainly for tuning purposes as opposed to tone. It would be interesting to know more about it though, i.e. the year, etc. Does anyone know if it has an uncovered bridge pup like his Silverbursts?
