Re: TOOL Appreciation Thread

I've been listening to the song Pushit lately, and I really love it. Great song off of Aenema!

One of my favorites. To me, Pushit is one of those songs that just says Tool. IMO, no other band could come up with such an awesome, epic, masterpiece. Incidentally, Pushit will be the next cover I upload to Youtube...using my new amp (which should be here in a couple of days) .

Hey, no problem. Ya, "Right In Two", another great song. There are so many. Love the drum solo in that song.

Re: TOOL Appreciation Thread

Adam's sound has definitely gotten more "out front" through the years. His live tone is something else. Thanks for posting every day and keeping this thread alive Ed.

Here's a recent video of Flood...

Re: TOOL Appreciation Thread

Ya notice the newer videos of The Pot...they are playing in dropped B or C. Adam brings out his natural finish LP, etc. Supposedly because Maynard doesn't want to have to sing that high night after night. Must be true...they didn't do The Pot the last 2 times I saw them.

I didn't notice, but I'm going to look now. Thanks!

I watched a video on youtube this morning. Maynard start the song by saying "his doctor told him not to sing this song". He said "f it" and started The Pot.

What you mention totally makes sense.

That's what I thought the first time I heard it too. But if you listen to it with fresh ears...like you've never heard The Pot before, you may start to dig it. The guitar definitely has a mean sound to it, tuned so low.
