Re: Ace Frehley
I wasnt big on Kiss, after their first album, but I gotta say, Ace had and has good damn guitar skills and really plays with some feeling , Sorta sad Frehley's Comet, didnt do better , I think Ace deserved a spotlight of his own

Re: Ace Frehley
Ace was one of the reasons that I started playing guitar........Kiss in the 70's was great. Ace is a good showman even on his own. I was in a tribute band in the 90's we played Japan, and several US States and had a good time, but it was a lot more work than it seems to balance the show and playing Ace's licks.

Re: Ace Frehley
I've been a true KISS fan for many years. Of all the bootlegs, misc footage, live performances, the Mike Douglas has to be the one true time I've seen them really lock into a groove. Perfect tempo....True NY style! My favorite.

True that! Though, being a TV show, they couldn't crank those Marshalls. Nowhere near as heavy as it should have been, IMO.

Re: Ace Frehley
I'm sure! What's funny is that Ace's solo has a bit of fuzz to it...And I'm positive that's gotta be from the studio mics distorting! That's the only time I've heard him like that, especially from that period. Sounds pretty cool actually.

Re: Ace Frehley
I saw them on the Dynasty tour! In STL they had John Cougar (Mellencamp) opening for them.
I actually smuggled in a tape recorder and recorded the show, but alas--they are long gone. ![]() BB
