Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

I want to put out one set of SKATTERBRANEs as demos for MLP members only. I want to have this set passed around from one member to the next, who sign up for this program.
Here are the rules:
1. Must be sincerely interested in trying out SKATTERBRANES for yourself.
2. You have one week to evaluate them, that is: on the seventh day after receiving them, you have to mail them to the next person on the list.
3. You must be in the 50 US States (sorry International members, this is for expediency of mailing).
4. You must mail them to the next person on the list PRIORITY mail, with tracking number cost is around $5-$7.
5. You must have at LEAST 100 posts here, to be put on the list.
6. This set is not for sale, but if you like them, you are encouraged to order a set of your choice.
7. When you send them Priority mail to the next person, you must send ME the tracking number or the proof of delivery number. I want to keep track of this set, to make sure they keep moving along.
8. You cannot KEEP this set for yourself!!
9. Last person on the list sends them back to me.
10. There will only be 20 people on the list, so as to not have this an open ended affair. If this works well, I may do this program again. (I also reserve the right to call back the pickups at anytime OR to extend the list, depending on how this all goes)
11. The list is GENERALLY first come, first served, but I have the right to eliminate ANYONE off the list.
12. You must co-ordinate sending your address to the person ahead of you on the list through emails or PMs, yourself.
13. List will be comprised of the first 20 qualified members who respond to THIS thread, who also give me their address in a PM to me. As stated above, the next person on this list, will also have to PM the person just ahead of them on the list, so they can forward the SKATTERBRANES to you!

I will consoladate the entries into one list here, to make it easy to reference.

Number one is Big John.

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

I am passing around an almost free (you have to pay postage to mail to the next guy) chance to try a set of pickups, you may be surprised and like them, or you may not like them....just an opportunity. Mine are not hot, they are mid 7s, neck and mid 8s, bridge. This set WILL be A5s however, and in the middle position with the tones at 10 they are VERY woody sounding. Neck with tone at 0, mucho "woman tone" with hair, think 70s porn!

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

PM me with your address. And once I get the list started, you have to PM the guy just ahead of you on the list your address as well. My site has all the prices. And the site is linked as my signature on all my posts. It is all in the rules, my friend. That the rules can be read and understood is one of the ways to qualify to be on the list.

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

I sell them all over the world, Netherlands, Finland, France, England, Greece, Russia, Germany, Australia, Brazil, S Korea, Japan, Italy, heck even Canada, but for this contest, it is USA only because of expedited mailing. Many times the pickups are held up in Customs for a week or two! They have to also clear Customs OUT of the US, and even that takes 2-4 days!

No, it's the pain in the ass soldering in and out I'd have to do!!! Seriously, I suck at it!!! But would love to try your pickups though.

I'm down to one LP (03 R8) for now, but soon I may have another.....

Yes I understand this!! For those who like to experiment with pickups, I suggest soldering a short lead, and then splicing in the pickups to those braided leads. All you need then is electrical tape and foil tape! But then there is the pickup mounting issue, to remove the rings over and over again...still a PAIN!!

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

Rod, is that the set that I have? If you like, I can send to someone on the list or back to you. Let me know. I was playing these most the day today. I don't want to wear the magic out of them.

No, that set is earmarked for someone already! I have another set (with A5 mags) for the pass around program.

Gotcha. You'll find no solder marks on these. I have alligator clips soldered into my guitar for quick change.

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

I'd like to be in.

I'm pretty new here, but seymourduncan forums are my home town and I post pickup comments over there (so you can see that I'm not out of the void).

You should wait til Monday, there's a lot of office worker forum members.

Might help people if you pass them around in a set of Gibson-spaced rings. That way people also don't scratch them trying to get the &((@@ screws through the springs and they don't wear out the screwholes.

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

Okay we have three. I am saving the addresses on my computer for record keeping purposes!! Towards the end of next week, I will send them out to Big John!! I will have them mounted in Les Paul style rings. Damn that was a great idea!! They will be mounted in cream Gibson USA rings, the shallower version.

Re: Pass around set of SKATTERBRANES

Yes, if it is not too much trouble, but do not feel obligated to do so. This is for a chance to take some of the guess work out of choosing pickups for yourself. All I as is, if you do not like them, be gentle with me!!
