Theyre some nice folks. its a tiny store packed with great gear esp 50's LP jrs and early 60's LP's behind the counter. nice boutique amps also stuff I never heard of b4.

I went there last week, they had a beautiful R0, that felt and sounded great. It was a darkburst/tobacco, but I prefer Iced Tea. Nice store, great guys. They let me have 2 Historics to try, by myself, in a little room with amps.

I love these guys, I've bought 4 Hembry guitars and a heap of accessories from them, about $14k worth in the last 2 years, their quick shippers too which is good if you live in Oz as I do. Big thumbs up.

While I'm here, what's up with the Zoo not showing the weight of the guitars in their online listings? I've called a few times to ask, but I either get put on hold until I give up or I'll leave a message and then my calls don't get returned. They must just be seriously busy up there on Long Island...

+1. I've had the same experience of leaving messages for certain guys and not had a call back. That said, I have spoken to Dan and Mark, and they've been as helpful as they can be.

Just want to say just worked out a wonderful trade with John over at Music Zoo. Responded to my e-mails in a quick fashion, stuck with the suggest market value once her gave the guitar a look over (a price I found quite fair in today's market), suggested a few guitars that he let me play for as much time as I needed and made the wise move of showing me a guitar that was far superior but slightly above the trade value and worth the extra $$$.

I walked out a happy man and IMO my collection is now complete!



Overall a great experience and highly suggest this place to all MLP'ers in the tri-state area.

These guys are awesome! I snagged a Custom Shop Silver Sparkle from them... and was a great experience! They are polite and helpful... and let me play for some time without standing over me.... it was pretty quiet in there and was so refreshing to actually be able to HEAR the thing!! Tommy is one serious cat.... huge history with Gibson. A very different type of place... and was such a welcome change. Highly suggest a visit to their art gallery.... ah... I mean guitar store. Thanks to all there!!!

I got my 2001 ES-135 LE in Blueburst from the Music Zoo two years ago. There was a minor problem with the order and they hooked me up with half a dozen set of free strings of my choice.
