Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
Thumbs up Eddie's Guitars is Fantastic!
Hello, all! I wanted to give a quick shout out to Brett at Eddie's for the incredible customer service I received yesterday. After lurking on the MLP Forum for a while and reading all the great things users were saying, I decided to give him a call about acquiring a R7 that he posted in the classifieds. When I called, Brett reluctantly informed me the R7 I was inquiring about had been sold. Brett generously offered to sell me a brand new R7 for slightly more than the used one had been listed for. He said he'd give me a call back after he checked the store inventory of R7s to hand select one for me. Brett called me back within 30 minutes. He told me he personally selected a R7 from the inventory and described it in great detail over the phone. He even weighed it for me-(it came in at a sweet 8.6). He answered all of my questions about the guitar and even negotiated the price through his manager. Without divulging the actual numbers here in the post, I can assure you that I have never seen an R7 go for what he offered me. Brett's reputation on the forum seems to be immaculate and he seems to be considered a resident expert. I would have to agree whole heatedly after dealing with him personally yesterday. I am expecting delivery tomorrow and cannot wait! If you are even considering buying in the near future, give him a call and at least let him make you an offer. Tell him you were referred by the My Les Paul Forum and he'll take great care of you. So, in summation, Brett rocks! |

Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
Brett: Thanks for picking out one heckuva Les Paul Traditional Plus. There are few things a southern boy appreciates more than a nice glass of Ice Tea, and the Ice Tea Burst is a beauty and sounds and plays as good as it looks. Also want to give a shout out for a great price and excellent customer service.
My next guitar purchase will be at Eddie's and I appreciate the very fair price.

Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
Brett found me a R7 Goldtop that fits me better than any guitar that I was able to try in person. (And that was over email/the phone..the man is talented). It also sounds and looks killer. Brett even helped me out while on vacation. And when I needed questions asked asap while Brett was out, Nathan was extremely helpful too. Eddie's will definitely be getting some repeat business. MLP has made me love Cherry Bursts almost as much as goldtops so I foresee a 'R9 or 'R0 in my future. (Not to mention a LPC along the way) And if that wasn't enough, Orange and Diamond Amps have been calling to me for a while. Look forward to that...whenever that is. Lucky for me and my wallet, the guitar Brett sent me will subdue my GAS for now.

Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
Hey guys!
I've always looked at each of the guitars on here and been very jealous, amazed and awestruck by the beautiful guitars on here. Every Les Paul is unique and different as-well as beautiful, but I always lusted after a Custom in particular! The ebony board and binding etc is just irresistible! To be exact I have purchased a Gibson Les Paul Custom 68RI in Ebony! It is a beautiful and amazing guitar, and although I haven't received it yet I can almost imagine it now!! Here are some pics!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A very big shout out goes to Brett at Eddie's Guitars. I have talked to him for months about getting a Les Paul (since around Christmas!!! ) and he has been the most amazing person in every area. He always replied to my posts despite being very busy and was polite and did the utmost possible to provide satifaction. On top of that he gave me an absolutely amazing deal! Prices like his make you feel like you're ripping him off! ![]() Thank you also to everyone on the forum for providing pics of your beautiful guitars and providing a massive knowledge base! (These photos are pics of the actual guitar, not stock pics. It is often hard to distinguish between Customs, for obvious reasons. I will add more pics of my own to the post when it arrives! (If I can put it down that is!!!)) Brett is the best guitar dealer both on this forum and possibly on the whole planet!!!

Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
The guitar arrived this morning, much to my pleasure.
I've barely put it down all day. It sounds amazing! Really thick and creamy tone on the neck pick-up and quite sharp and powerful (without being thin) on the bridge. The neck profile is perfect, really comfortable and fits my hands well, perfect shoulders on it! The guitar was set-up at Eddie's and almost plays itself. I can play the runs from the second Mr. Crowley solo that I really fought with on my Epi. Amazing balance when stood up, I weighed it and it came out at about 4kgs which is around 9lbs, so it's lighter than the average Custom. One thing I noticed immediately was that I would be needing straplocks. Does anyone know if you need to add toothpicks etc if you use Dunlops, or is that only for Schallers? A very big thank you goes to Brett at Eddie's! He has been superb and has picked an amazing guitar for me. I could ot recommend him enough, I will definitely be buying a guitar from him again, (once I've paid my dad what I owe him on this one!!) possibly a goldtop with the darkback... Pics: ![]()

Re: Eddie's Guitars *Sponsor*
Hope everybody is doing well!
Feeling a little out of it today, and randomly took a look at this thread and relived dealing with some of the good guys in this thread. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you to anybody that actually purchased anything from me and then wrote a review. You would be surprised, but when things have been rough (not so much in business, but certainly in life for me lately) it was quite an amazing and inspirational thing to see those kind words. Thank you all so much!
