Will it work on both nitro and poly finishes? Does it melt or thin the finish?

nope, used it on my lp and sg, just request it to be silicon free

As said, this stuff is amaizing. I was really surprised and especially happy with the result, it even removes the bigger scratches. And hey, it polishish at the same time. I had a big dull spot on my LP that I couldn't get rid of with Gibson's Pump Polish, but Guitar Scratch Remover did the job.

Just make sure you use the silicone-free model (Blue-White Label)

I just got mine. be careful when you unscrew the lid,it is a liquid and will spill out.
