ThroBak now offers the Gibson quick connect option at no extra charge. Just choose it from the wiring and baseplate options menu when you order. So if you have a newer Les Paul Standard or other Gibson with the PCB pots/control cavity set-up, ThroBak pickups will drop right in!

Awesome! What a great option for those who don't know how to solder and don't want to pay to have their pickups installed.

I STILL need to get my DT-102s into my SG. Soon!

Thanks JMV. I got enough requests for this option that I decided it was a must have option to have when you order ThroBak pickups.

Again this is a no charge option from ThroBak. But for anyone that might want to do it themselves you really need to have the correct crimping tool, which costs $260.00, and you need to be real patient. The parts are tiny and need to be handled with tweezers and a magnifying visor. Just a heads up for anyone that wants to try it.

But I have a feeling most the people buying ThroBaks (or any high end PAF type pup) aren't going to stand for a PCB board in their guit.
Real cool though, and nice that it's free.

Probably true. Personally I prefer the old style of control cavity like you get on a Historic. But I can see why someone with a LP Standard that has switching options built into the PCB set up would want to keep it. A set of ThroBak pickups dropped into that set up is a win, win.
