Re: My 5 Conversions
Wasn't the last 52' you got from Chris an early unbound? I'd love to know what he had to do in that conversion.

Re: My 5 Conversions
You have no idea how many paople ask me how much...mostly because they just want to know...a serious buyer would say send me pics...then we'll talk...you'd be shocked at how many have contacted me and thought it would only have been $15k...that's all I'm saying.
Like anyhtign else you pay for quality...this is as close to the real thing as you will EVER feel or play..EVER part is from 59' except the PUP rings..that inlcudes all screws back plastic etc etc etc |

Re: My 5 Conversions
So you think 20K isn't enough for a modified old Gibson? Conversions are just that, modified (maybe brought back from the grave, who knows and who cares) old "not-stock-anymore" guitars, aka "guitars with issues" and just because it cost you 35K to put it all together doesn't make it worth that. The "if you have to ask you couldn't afford it" lingo is usually reserved for THE REAL THING!

Conversions with vintage parts are as close as anything can get to the year 58 59 and 60 with the advantage that the wood is older then that of a real burst, old wood talks, and thats where the magic is at and the price tag is lower too. |

At the end of the day these guitars are 3 legged dogs and should be priced as such the probabiliity of finding a buyer of the conversions loaded with vintage parts is quite slim if you are actually serious about selling them you should consider pricing options with repro parts IMHO |

Re: My 5 Conversions
might be why these are still for sale...
AND, i would think you would appreciate people asking you how much BEFORE asking you to take any time to send them pictures. would seem a reasonable question to ask, particularly in a market that is as volatile as conversions. good luck, maybe the market will pick up again soon |

Re: My 5 Conversions
Maybe if you would actually PUBLISH the asking prices people wouldn't contact you so much wondering what the f'n prices are of these things. Seems to me like you are just asking for people to contact you by omitting prices so don't complain when they make offers... seems a bit like dick-movery on your part to me.

Re: My 5 Conversions
I find that generally when somebody will not post a price, it's because it is over-priced and they prefer to talk to the potential customer to convince them otherwise.
