Just look at one side of a standard LP wiring diagram. There are differences in Tone, small variations as the 50's is said to be brighter, the modern more warm etc. That is all waiting for you to be explored, then you will know with your own 2 ears vs someone telling you how it will sound. BTW glad your order arrived today
thanks man, if it wasnt for you i wouldnt even think of wiring my own circuits. you are awsome.

could you be specific about what type wire to connect certain components e.g jack sock to pots

It's all good bro, glad to pass on what I have learned. Here is a pic of some of my work, braided leads on input and + - Switch runs, cloth wire on all other connections. As long as you are using heavier 22g wire vs the small cheap stuff you will be ok. I like the vintage braided wire though for Gibby wiring

Re: Jonesyblues Custom Shop & ToneMojo.com

Hi Jonesy, just wanted to say thanks for the bee you sent me!

Got it yesterday and just finished rewiring my tele- sounds amazing! I'm not completely sold on the 4-way yet, needs more time to evaluate whether the tone is different enough to be useful. But the difference in tone from the bee was immediate and the volume bleed mod makes a big difference aswell. Can't wait to crank it up and really hear it sing!

Re: Jonesyblues Custom Shop & ToneMojo.com

There you go, practicing is the only way to really be a good player IMO. Give that 4 way switch a chance, after I got used to it I found myself playing in that 4th position a lot because it was so much Fatter than the other 3 settings. Keep the Music Flowing!

peace, jonesy

Mono jacks and plug will have 2 connections,(ground & hot) stereo will have 3 wires.(ground, hot, hot,) a stereo plug will have 2 black stripes(or white) on shaft mono has one black stripe.

Guitars are Mono for the most part, head hone jacks are stereo etc....

I thought you said your dad was an electrical engineer? I am sure he could answer some of these questions for you,

you are right buddy,
you don't need to be an electronic engineers to know the difference between mono and stereo jacks.

Hey I just got some CD's in the Mail, with some rough demos on them (MLPF Members) and wanted to share one of the songs with you guys. You may be able to figure out who it is if you listen to the intro. & look at the Title.. And another clue is the guy on guitar and vocals is a HUGE Randy Rhoads fan...I really like the acoustic guitar (kinda my idea ) with electric lead and all the layered vocals, nice job.

I had a little input over the phone, but I am not playing or singing anything on these tracks. I think there is some of My EMG/Tonemojo installed in the lead guitar . More about that later from the Original source if He wants to tell us about it.

Buzzing can be a grounding issue, but it can also be a direct short. Re-check your diagram, make sure no lugs are bent or touching, look for extra solder causing short, post some pics and I will see if I can tell whats up?

Re: Jonesyblues Custom Shop & ToneMojo.com

I can't wait for Jonesy to get his hands on my Epi Les Paul for some much needed PU upgrade. For my style, he's recommending DiMarzio Anniversary PAF's (zebra) and full wire upgrade. It's going to sound like dream when I get it back!

By the way, I'm shipping it to him so don't be discouraged when you find out he's thousands of miles away from you.

Thanks Jonesy!
