Mayes Bombshell ( LP Jr. style ) inaugural batch

I'll give $100 off the prices you see below for forum members.

The first batch of Bombshells is going to be going into finish as soon as I can do some finish sanding, fretjobs, side dots, and gluing the neck in. Should be ready to go in by this weekend-ish.

I still have two left. The price is $1600 base. Contact me through my website ( Bombshell Guitars ) if interested. Here are the specs on the guitars:

-Ebony peghead overlay with pearl logo.
-Gotoh open back vintage style tuners.
-Badass wraparound adjustable bridge.
-Jason Lollar soapbar P-90 bridge pickup.
-NOS paper in oil tone capacitor with vintage cloth wiring.
-Full gloss finish. Standard colors are: TV Yellow, Vintage Blonde, Cherry, -and Onyx.
-Professional arched top hardshell case.
-Two way adjustable truss rod.
-Limited lifetime warranty to original owner.

Base Price: $1600

The ones I have left right now that are in finish are:

Bombshell Standard Tobacco Sunburst

All standard features except;
Sunburst top (tobacco vintage burst)
Tor-tis pickguard
Price: $1800

Re: Mayes Bombshell ( LP Jr. style ) inaugural batch

by request here is a picture of the Tor-Tis firestripe guards that area available on the guitars. If you're not familiar with Tor-Tis google it because ti's considerably different than "tortishell" pickguards that are used these days. It's way more realistic I think.

And the pickguard is still oversize and not totally shaped, beveled, drilled yet.

Re: Mayes Bombshell ( LP Jr. style ) inaugural batch

Just a quick update. Been working a ton recently, and was neglecting some finishing chores. Here are a couple shots of an Ice Blue custom Bombshell Standard in finish.

Still have a few that are up for grabs. For more info see Bombshell Guitars (under for sale, but check out the blog too). I'll post completed pictures soon...I promise! This one will be done in a week or so.

Thanks. And yes pics are needed, and as soon as this batch is done I'm getting a bunch of nice pro pics on the site of a half a dozen or so variations of the Bombshell Standard.

Cheers

These look really great - any chance, though, you'll ever do any single cuts?

Thanks

For sure. It'll be down the road a little bit though. Maybe next year as I've just started releasing these models and want to get all these smooth and streamlined before expanding the line, but to answer your question. Yes.

Thanks!

No it's Honduran, but a really dark dense piece of wood, plus the computer made it look darker than it is...

And I'm gonna have to try your p90's sometime! I've been using Lollars on everything and they do rock, but it's always nice to try out new things...
