well someone who needs sex with both genders probably shouldn't be in a marriage. but having said that, sometimes we don't realize what we need to make us truly fulfilled until late in life. and then it's like i said in my previous post. if she needs it she's going to go get it one way or the other. standing in the way will only serve to end the relationship. but supporting it can lead to rewards, like a much happier life with her. of course supporting it can lead to ending the relationship as well, (like if she figures out that she likes girls exclusively), but supporting it is the better course of action. never stand in the way of someone's happiness. if you do you will lose that person.

Well since you offered. I have an issue.

My son is 13. I'm pretty sure he's gay. Been pretty sure about it since he was about 3. There were many signs, the major one being he's never had any real male friends, he's always gravitated towards girls. Recently I found a folder on my computer with pictures of um.. very muscular guys, that pretty much confirmed it for me.

I'm pretty open minded and so is my wife (not his real mom) and we have always tried to make sure he knew that he could always be himself at home. I want him to be able to come to me if he has any problems, so without letting him know I'd seen his pics, I taught him how to hide folders and create passwords on his private stuff. I was hoping he'd ask if I had seen what was in there so we could talk about it. Apparently he's not ready.

So my question is this. Do I push the issue with him, let him know I know, so he can just come to terms with it sooner or do I let him continue hiding it and wait till he's good and ready to tell me. The only reason I'm even concerned is he starts high school next year and I want him to know I've got his back if he runs into any "trouble".

there was a time when my stepfather came " " this close to cornering me and talking about my issue. but he was afraid and it made him uncomfortable. i sometimes now wish that he had pushed and tried to get me to talk to someone about it. (i had a pretty fucked up life though so i had a lot of trust issues) but i feel that if it the issue had been brought out into the open i might have had this happy life i have much sooner.

but you know your child better than i do. he might not appreciate parents butting in. have you had the talk about sex yet? that might be a good time to bring up homosexuality. teach him about safe sex, sexual responsibility and mention to him that whether he likes boys or girls you'll be proud of him and love him just the same. that might be a catalyst for him to come out to you.

other than that i have little advice. men are not my specialty

yes i have. on quite a few occasions. to put it into perspective-- to me fucking a man is like fucking a friend. or like kissing your sister. the mechanics of it are similar, but you certainly aren't going to get worked up over it. there were a few passionate moments but it mostly left me cold. not the guys fault i just really wasn't into it.
