How about a Forum for Home Recording?
I am sure there are tons of people on here who have a load of recording experience. What about an additional forum dedicated to recording/home recording?

Tweak's Guide to the Home and Project Studio
Yeah - I found this site that gives a ton of home recording information, but it is fairly overwhelming.

Re: How about a Forum for Home Recording?
I think it's a great idea. I'm a recording studio engineer by profession (television primarily - but there's plenty of audio in television!).. I have a home studio system as well. I'd be willing to share what I know - and learn from the others as well!

Re: How about a Forum for Home Recording?
I go in and out of it. I recorded with reel to reels back in the Seventies, then some better reel stuff in the early Eighties. Gave it up and went to college for the remainder of the Eighties after five years off school. Then in the early/mid Nneties got a load of outboard gear ans two ADATS. Sold most of it off around '99 but kept the mics.
Thinking of starting up again, but confused by the options, though I think I'll be using less outboard gear, but get some more real nice preamps for the front end of whatever recorder I choose. That would really be a ice forum, Home Recording. Flick, Alex, what do you guys think? I'd be nice to have one that is guitar centric as it were since that would naturally be a focus here at MLP.. Besides, recording drums is a pain
