David Vs Goliath.. Anyone taking bets?

Tomorrow night will be riviting on TV here in the UK.. Our guy going up against the beast of the east. Valuev will defend his WBA Heavyweight Title against David Haye in Nuremberg.

The Russian Valuev is a giant of a man. 7ft. 2in and weighs in at over 322lb.

Be interesting to see what happens here. Haye is fast, but Valuev has never been knocked down.
I suppose I should be cheering for Haye as he's English, but he is a bit of a cockey bugger and old Valuev seems quite a nice guy when you hear him speak. Mmmmmm! perhaps I might be secretly hoping Valuev clocks him one and puts him down on the seat of his pants, but the whole family will be watching this, so perhaps I'd better keep my big mouth shut.

Yeah but don't forget in Hollywood the American always wins..

Joking aside though, that's what many people are comparing it to.

Re: David Vs Goliath.. Anyone taking bets?

Well, as the match is being held in Germany and many of these huge Russians fight out of Germany these days, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes the full 12 rounds that Valuev will win on points with the judges.

Re: David Vs Goliath.. Anyone taking bets?

I don't know who Brock Lesnar is here in the UK, but he's only around 6ft 3in, which is around a foot smaller than Valuev.
Mind you, these guys are the clever kids on the block these days, especially Vitali Klitschco who has a great technique. You can see the American contender get hammered in this clip, along with many others.

Who's that.. Be interesting to see him take on Vitali Klitschko.
In fact since all the big Russians have come forward I haven't seen many Americans these days, whereas the US dominated the heavyweight scene for decades. I wonder why that is.

Brock cant throw a punch, or stand toe to toe with anyone.
All he can do is jump on his opponet and pin him on the ground.
Dude has NO game. IMO
I wish he'd go back to wresl'n and leave UFC alone.

Dont mean any disrespect to you KSG, I really just cannot
stand that guy.

Re: David Vs Goliath.. Anyone taking bets?

I vote the russian, not because he is bigger and probably stronger, I choose him because he seems better overall.

Hayes looks like a monster in the lighter weights but this guy has in my opinion too many advantages.

Guess time will tell.

That Russian reminds me of 'The Russian' from The Punisher. Anyways, size doesn't matter. Look at Bruce Lee.

-edit- Proof in the pudding, Valuev lost against 6'1" Chagaev.
