Yeah I figured I'll probably buy new strings since he'll want those right away but as far as new pickups and the action I'll let him worry about that.

I'm still undecided on color. I really like the Heritage Cherry but it's not for me so I don't know.

The Heritage Cherries are, in my opinion, the one you need to go pick out in person. They vary SO much. Sometimes the red ring is thin, other times it is so thick the guitar might as well have been completely red. Then there are times there is actually some transition between the red and the yellow, and everything in between.

Anyway... it's been fun, guys and girls, but I've got a psychology test in 5 hours and I need some rest.

Get the honeyburst plaintop and you dont have to change pickups thats a ad of crap. The ones in i are good I love the sound of mine.

Hmm. I kind of like the look of the plus top better even though the plain top is beautiful. What's the difference between the Standard and the Ultra you listed?

The ultra has a quilted top and a contured body and weighs less. I dont have any pics and Im not smart enough to attach any.

Im with DJ the honey looks beter in a plain top. I think the tobacco sunburst is a nice plus top.

See I really like the tobacco sunburst because to me it's somewhere in between honey and vintage. I don't like how dark the vintage is because I like the gradual fade and I don't like the back being black.

The Ultra has Alnico classic Humbuckers and a the Nano-Mag pickup and Gives you acoustic tones ..
Its like 2 guitars in one...Acoustic/Electric...

You can get it without the Nano-Mag pickup.

Hmm, I'm so confused. The tobacco is more brown than the vintage right? If so I wish it were available.

The only reason I know is I happened across some info the other night about one. I did see one at the music store the other day but didnt play it. I should have cause I wanted to mess with the Nano-Mag pickup to see how it sounds.
