Basis for 1,000+ songs, but to me "Sleepwalk" takes the cake for that one.

It totally is, but its such a great sounding progression. You can do a lot with it.

No, it's Am. I've been working on it quite a bit, trying to make my fingers do the pedal-steel thing. It's great exercise!

Absolutely. I love it. Just keep changing the rhythm and you can get another 1,000 songs out of it.

Try copying the lead. It's great exercise for accurate bending and improvising a lead in a minor key.

Does anyone else find that Sharpie Commercial instrumental so, so sweet? Listen...

Also all of Andy Mckee's stuff are great. One of my favorites...

Jesus Christ. can't believe nobody mentioned this one already. the mother of all chord progressions. 1683 guitarpickers can't be wrong.

Re: Coolest chord progressions...

This song is epic. This song got me into Rammstein many years ago, and if it wasn't for Rammstein i wouldn't be listening to the music i do today... and it was the first lead riff i ever learned on guitar... ever!

I love also how it shifts up a step at 2:25, gives me shivers every time...
