So what did you think of the show ?
There was NO Gibson truck this year , no instructional DVD-books-mags table,no personalities , not much .. I noticed it was more acoustic guitars this year , so it was about 60-40 electric -acoustic . Not many wanted to deal this year. I got to see a few great Les Pauls. Abalone Music owner, Eric Ernest , showed me a Gibson 335 that Eric Johnson used on the video "ZAP" ..that was cool . I noticed that D'Addario wasn't there this year promoting strings ,, I usually get a box of 9-42's but not this year.. there were a couple of booths that looked like somebody was cleaning out their garage of junk. One vendor hadd a PICK display out . you could buy famous picks .. .the one that stood out was the one that said" F YOU BUDDY " on the front ..I asked who it belonged to ,,EDDIE VAN HALEN !!!! the price .....$90.00 !! I'll stick with a 30 cent pick in my pocket .. Eddie's pick donesn't make me a better guitar player !! |
