I think you should be, because I see much of the problem being that the words "communism" and, more significantly, "socialism" do not mean the same to one person as they do another. Regardless of which definition is "proper", if I mean one thing by it and you interpret it in a significantly different way, you may ascribe to me beliefs, values, intentions, etc. that I may not have in any way, shape or form.

In threads like this that do not degenerate and circle the bowl, it has become quite apparent to me that many members who at first glance appeared to be diametrically opposed are actually in agreement on many, if not most, issues. The "label" words get in the way, and that's why propagandists on both sides of an issue love to use them. They're just cans of benzene to be thrown on the fire.

Yes. You left out the apparent fact that when they have no good argument against what you say, those at the end of the spectrum responsible for those things you mention, either refute you with sarcasm or ridicule (when they don't have an argument at all) or else use logic which isn't really logic.

And I'm not sure if they realize or agree that they're responding with sarcasm and ridicule (including facetiousness, eh? ), but I don't think they realize that it highly undermines their own argument when people see them do that.
In line with that, I strongly suspect that those folks ACTUALLY don't even like each OTHER very well. (even though they pretend to of course)

That could explain why their talk shows generally can't succeed worth a crap.
