Favorite foods, or guilty pleasure foods.....Heck, what's your favorite Pizza?..

My favorite restaurant food for years has been veal saltimbocca romana, but the restaurant I loved that served it shut down.

At home, a Shrimp or chicken Alfredo will suffice, with lots of fresh broccoli and crunchy carrots.

My grand mother made a great roast pork, never to be equaled yet for my palette.

Truth to tell though, my current girth is finely honed by precise mixture's of Pizza and ice cream over the years. Time to take the laundry off the treadmill and get back to work!

Favorite Pizza has been roasted garlic and broccoli for some time. Just keep away from me a few hours later.............

One of my favorite Peruvian dishes is the "lomo saltado."

Lomo saltado (cuisine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Love seafood as well.

Fried chicken and hushpuppies I admit, but when I was up North they had a place called Nick Tahoe's, they served a garbadge plate that was out of this world, either 2 burgers, or 2 hots, (red or white), with homefries, mac salad and hot sauce, I miss that, every time I visit up there I make a point to grab one

Any garden burger concoction from Red Robin with endless fries. It is probably worst than a side of beef, but damn are they good!!

As far as LA where I used to live, I loved Pink's hot dogs. Yum Yum!! And what about a Tommy's chili burger? Oh, and how about a Big Boy Burger? Or El Pollo Loco? Or Love's BBQ Ribs and those amazing beans? Man do I miss Popeye's Chicken... Oh, there are some days that I miss meat.

As far as my favorite Pizza, there is this old guy that
lives in Ashland Oregon, he had a resturant there since
the mid 60's, he is from Florence Italy, and makes the
best pizza i have ever had, and i have been all over
the US and east coast. Everything made from scratch
and fresh. The crust is so light it melts in your mouth
like butter. His name is Marco. So if you are ever in Ashland
Oregon stop in, its a mom and pop resturant, best Italian food ever.

His Meatball sandwiches and sausage sandwiches are just as good.

Thanks. I gotta go to one again. I'm not an anti smoking Nazi, but since there is so much less smoking in public places, my migraine headaches have been more than cut in half. I used to get 4-12 a week! Now I'm down to 1-4. Mostly due to smoking and diesel fumes, but I can trigger them from caffeine with drawl too.sigh.
I get my caffeine from Cokes at places like Fudruckers!

I love supporting local restaurants too. Some of my favorites have ceased operations in the last few years due to the owners getting old and too many of the big chains coming to town.

I think my all time favourite, is: A decent beer followed by a really good steak, cooked just right, with some fries a few mushrooms and a side salad with blue cheese sauce.... and a nice shiraz to wash it all down with. Apple pie and a sizeable dollop of ice cream to finish off.

I like a bunch of other stuff too, but when it comes down to it I like simple food best. I particularly liked my Mum's roast dinners, but that's not possible anymore..

What beer would that be?

I work in a meat department, so its gonna be a Prime Dry Aged Rib Eye on the grill, cooked medium or medium rare. Deer backstrap is up there too. Delicious.

I don't remember eating deer/venison before, must be good though as us peasants used to get hanged for poaching it from the king..

As for beer, my favourite at the moment is 'Timothy Taylor Landlord'. This is a real ale that most likely is totally unheard of outside of the UK.

When we were in the USA on holiday in 2002, we stayed in Alexandria (near DC) and one of the restaurants there had a micro brewery on the premises and I thought they made excellent beer.

I don't dislike any beer (as long as it's wet and cool), but I do prefer ale type beers...

Re: Favorite foods, or guilty pleasure foods.....Heck, what's your favorite Pizza?..

1. Blue Ribbon BBQ in West Newton, MA - start with the pulled pork burrito then work your way across the menu. Don't miss a special, everything is good.
2. Any topping bar-room style pizza at the Satuit in Scituate, MA
3. Miso Butter @ Sapporo Ramen, Porter Square, Cambridge
4. A great big helping of any pasta dish @ Comella's restaurant in West Newton or Wellesley, MA. I recommend: "Grandpa's Mess"
5. Splitting an order of Ruby's Mini's + the Ribs/Wings combo at any Ruby Tuesday's.

YUMMO! This thread is making me hungry.

Nick Tahoe's! You talkin' Rochester lonestar? That's my hometown. Funny thing is, now every local joint has a variation of the Garbage Plate. Some call it "The Trash Plate' or "The Rubbish Plate", but Nick's is the real deal.
