Star Spangled Banner Gutiar off?

I was just playing the star spangled banner, and I thought of the MLP Guitar off.

So I figured, "What the heck. Let's throw in a challenge."

So for us Yanks, tomorrow is the day where we put politics aside and blow stuff up just to remind the world that WE ARE AMERICA!

So let's do a guitar off of us playing our National Anthem! Let's Submit them to this thread, (PM me so I make sure I have everyone's) Then we'll create another thread with a poll, so we can vote on whose version is the best.

So whose up for it? Let's do it!

Edit: Have it in by July 4, 4pm EST.

EDIT: DANG IT THE TYPO MONSTER GOT ME!!!

Good luck getting submissions in one day. We gave em weeks and still didn't get very many . (For the guitar-off)

These are musicians we're talking about after all.

Just a thought. I know it came short but if there is only one or two submissions we'll just say screw it and call it a day.

You do realize that Hendrix's version at Woodstock was not really a teary-eyed paean to the flag, don't you? He put a whole lot stuff in there, including feedback to sound like bombs falling and explosions, ambulance sirens wailing, and a little bit of The Last Post. I don't think those are normally in there, right?

Which is not to say he wasn't being patriotic. But it is to say that his version of the Star Spangled Banner shouldn't be viewed out of context.

[EDIT]Having just looked at the vid that Flick posted, I read a couple of comments. To paraphrase one of them, Hendrix's version of this is patriotic in the same way that Springsteen's Born In The USA is patriotic. Via their dissent and criticism.[EDIT]
