Well at her age following in someone's footsteps is a great way to go. She is developing a lot of technical prowess, feel, and the music motivates her to learn and improve. Who knows what she'll be doing five years from now.

Her style brought her up on stage with Steve Vai and she even got her own Album out!

Do any of us have our own style? There is nothing new under the sun. I think she is fantasitic, and I do not care for her type of music. She has what she needs to develop her individuality as she matures.

Wow! She is awesome. That sweep picking just blew me away man. It's amazing how someone that young can have that much talent and I have been playing for 9 years and improve very slowly. She is gorgeous too. But man she is a killer guitar player.

I don't think it's too harsh - I was sorta thinking the same thing; more so because I'm not really a Vai fan, though I appreciate how much talent you need to have to play like that (and would give a few vital organs to have an ounce of that talent).
But if its a style she loves, and she's obviously good at, then maybe it's right for her.

I watched some of her other videos, and she just blew me away on all of them. I'd call most of it incredibly technical. What I've heard her play that shes referred to as emotional, I'd probably call technically timed, but then thats more to do with the style she's playing, and what she's putting into it I guess. I'm not used to hearing emotion with a whammy bar

I've no doubt that she'll eventually develop more of her own style, which will be nice (from the point of view of someone who doesn't like Vai). I did read she's getting involved in a female AC/DC tribute band, so if she's gonna be true to the almighty acadaca, that should be a completely different sound for her.

She's got a great future ahead. Now, how do we convert her to playing a Lester?

I didn't mean to come across as critical of yasi its just an observation.

However if Yasi intends to keep playing it that style she needs to make a few modifications to her playing style or she may well do her self an injury.

I can recall when I used to sweep pick alot and then I decided to take it up a notch and alternating picking alpeggios its great to have fun with.

Her technical ability is killer but I don't hear any soul or real feeling in the stuff she played.....just my take, She blows my 2 finger same scale ability away.
I think she will be able to rock her own great stuff with her own feeling in it if she would like.
