It's been 4 days since......

It's been 4 days since I picked up a guitar and I still can't figure out why. Here are some details.
- I've been home the entire time
- No one else has been here, except for the puppy
- There are 3 guitars, on stands, and an amp in my living room
- 5 more in the guitar room ready to play
- 9 others in their cases in various places throughout the house
- My wife has been out of town since early Thursday morning until today

I had a chance to play as long and as loud as I wanted and didn't and I'm kicking myself right now for not taking advantage. This is really not like me I pick up a guitar everyday if only for a few minutes. I know the puppy took up a lot of my time, but I didn't think it was that much. I did spend a lot of time in this forum over that time.

Now that my wife is back, I feel the urge to play again which doesn't make any sense either as I really like spending time with her.

Is there something wrong with me? Anyone else have times like this?

is like all things,when you are free to use them you dont feel like it,but when youre told not to you get an urge to use them.

That could be it, does that mean if she goes before I do, I'll pretty much quit playing, give away all my stuff.........

But she is a real sweetheart and doesn't care when I play, she's actually very supportive. I really miss her when we are not together, like part of me is missing.........

I go through periods when I don't play my guitar or piano/synth. Then I get into a random mood and play for hours!

Sometimes none of us feel like playing. I know theres lots of times I dont even think about playing. maybe thats why I suck.
