I am for FAIR trade agreements. Whatever restrictions, levies, taxes etc you impose on our exports to you, well will do exactly the same to your imports to us. If you do not have any, then neither shall we. I would WIN the trade war with those policies.

- The decline of the U.S. image in the international arena: Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, the signing statements supported by John Yoo regarding tortude, rendition, denial of Habeas.... That didn't have anything to do with the topic at hand, right?

-Illegal immigration: One thing is lax immigration, and that can happen legally or illegally, and another is illegal immigration. In either case, the problem here is the law itself. The law cannot be worked out to produce solutions simply because it was not designed to produce solutions but to please special interest groups. The law is so well-made that, for example, under many circumstances a person is better off shoplifting than he or she is working trying to earn some money.

Courts had to interpret certain portions of the law because it simply doesn't make sense and seems to contradict itself. This has happened in at least 3 different occasions that I'm aware of. And you don't want illegal immigration with a law that can't make sense of itself?

The entire Amnesty argument of the GOP is crap. I don't support amnesty myself, but I laugh out loud when the GOP starts talking about amnesty and a nation of laws when they insisted in AMNESTY to the telecoms that ignored 4th amendment concerns and federal law to aid in the illegal wiretapping program.

And by the way, next time you get pulled over and the officer gives you "just a warning", well, ask the officer to arrest you and take you before a judge, anything else would be "amnesty".

- Outsourcing jobs to China: Well, you can't have the cheap labor you want for your business, see above, then what you going to do? You have absolutely no incentive to keep the jobs here, there's no tax penalty, nothing... so you move the jobs overseas and save a bundle. The concept of global economy is eluding the Neo Conservatives.

- Unfair trade: Yep, I agree with that one. However, the United States signed a nuclear technology treaty with India to supply that nation with technology and scientific information regarding nuclear developments. Yes, India, a nation that seems to be headed for war with Pakistan. And that was done at the insistence of the GOP, so give me a break!

- Opose same sex marriage? Yes. Oppose "civil unions"? No. Sexual orientation is not, should not, and has never been a problem of the Government. (Lawrence v. Texas).

I'm not a republican or a democrat, I like to think, so I ain't gonna be lectured talking phrases and be told what to do, think or believe by a bunch of people who couldn't care less about you, me or this country.
