sorry if this has been done before, post the amp settings, effects and effect settings you use on songs, if you have a request for the settings of a song just post it and wait for someone who plays the song to post the settings.

Re: the songs tone thread
Every amp is different oje. (Oh Gee, Dad?) I could give you settings I use and they'd sound totally different on your amp. Part of developing your own sound is exploring your favorite settings and putting them to use.

Re: the songs tone thread
I quite like the idea of this thread, and while all amps sound differently, this might give you a good building block to experiment with.

Re: the songs tone thread
Everything 4-5 except reverb or gain. ya all amps are different so maybe you could expand your question/answers to effects, for example:for alot of years I thought Hendrix and Clapton were getting that creamy yet elusive lead tone from JUST the amp.I have now enjoyed the things a Fuzz offers to get in the ballpark

Re: the songs tone thread
Hmm...well, to kick this thread off, I've found a sound similar to George Harrison's album version of the Let it Be solo
Gain: 7 Treble: 7 Mids: 6 Bass: 5 It worked on a crappy practice amp, maybe it'll work for ya'll... |

Re: the songs tone thread
Crazy train:allright this is what I do it randy style: volume: 5, treble:4, mid:4, bass:5 effects boss ds1 full distortion, now if you want to do it like zakk and ruin the song just throw some harmonics in there

Re: the songs tone thread
^I know,I thought ojedad23 was yellin at me so I was being a smart ass, then he replies back very nice...yes I feel like a shitheel. Derailing your thread was not my intention.
So in the interest of this topic, I too am truly interested in hearing other peoples amp settings for their given songs!! I'll see if I can come up with one myself. |
