New years message from Stevie Ray Vaughan

This is from a bootleg CD I have from Stevie.

It was recorded in Atlanta Georgia on 31 Dec 1986

It is titled, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mr. Clean

The message he gave is as important today as it was then.

He is playing a great version of "life without you" and new years comes in.

While he continues to play, here is what he has to say;

"You know, it's almost that time, for us to be able to say that we've lived through one more year of our lives.

But that means, it's more important than about one year, that we all take care of our lives, put them in the right perspective.

It's time to have fun, but it's time to have time, to have fun.

Its time for us to remember love.

You see, we won't be bringing in the new, if we take with us the old.

let's everybody start of this New Years and the rest of our lives with the true feeling of love, for everybody and yourself.

Its all you have to give, so give it freely.........do you understand? "

My hat is off to him. He delivered a message that all can benefit by.

Roman
