Wink jonesy's Rough Demos ;)

ROUGH DEMOS, IF YOU CARE TO LISTEN???
I posted up a couple of rough demos(mistakes and all ) that I just made
of a couple of my original songs. I had a lot of trouble with the KORG I was using and ended up dumping my mix out the headphone jack back inot my PC where I mixed it. The Audio is a not the best, so please forgive me. I hope you like them...

jonesin' is full of sick greasy Strat licks and the Indiana Method is a finger style instrumental with a groove. Both songs were recorded on my 03 Blue Strat bridge/ middle setting with just a bit of Tone rolled on for some Mojo. I was plugged directly into the KORG, dry on jonesin' lot's of delay on the IM

jonesy's ROUGH DEMO's on Myspace

I have some heavier jimi style stuff recorded but wanted to post these up first...

Sounds good Jonesy!

For some reason Jonesi'n 3 cut out on me right in the middle?

I like what your going for with the delay on the Indiana Method.

Thanks man, yeah trying some new stuff vs playing heavy...I think the cutting out, that must be a myspace thing cause those files play perfect on my desktop? and I have re-loaded them to the player a couple of times?? I am afraid I am an analog man in a digital world, but I do appreciate your input bro

Awesome! Man, I really dig your playing! You remind me a lot of how Steve Gaines sounded on his Strat, but with your own touches which I really like. I think I'll pull out the strat now, thanks

Friend request on the way

Re: jonesy's Rough Demos ;)

Hey Jonesy! I just had a real strong listen to both songs. You have a real clean picking technique. Each note is well defined and stands on its own. There's no muddiness to your style at all. Lots of definition in both tunes. I wish I could pick like that but my notes get all jumbled together. LOL. Where were all the mistakes you were talking about??? These are upbeat songs that I could listen to for quite awhile. Nice work. Thoroughly enjoyable my friend.

Thanks Sentry, glad you liked that one bro, that was one of the first tracks I cut late Saturday night, finally got the KORG machine to actually record something, found the drum groove & right tempo, slammed 2 cans of Monster and cut the track, mistakes and all

Gunner you are very kind bro, I think part of the definition comes from that clean tone? Been finger picking about 30 years now and this is kind of a new style for me, that's why I called it the Indiana method

That's the only way to do it...especially for leads. I've had jams where I cut the solo over, and over, and over....and I swear, the more I did that, the worse it sounded. There's usually some good mojo and energy when it's spontaneous like that!

Yeah I sold my fostex unit so that was it for a while, and I have a program on my computer but it is kind of complicated for me anyways, I am slowly getting the hang of it. I have a lot more fun when I am playing guitar vs laying down vocal tracks
