Re: Nikola Tesla

Thank you!

The pics in the thread the other night were a warm up to these. He has been so influential and so overlooked.
Like I said in that thread it was interesting seeing David Bowie as Tesla recently.

Lol, just watched that last night. Little confusing, but a good movie. Yeah Flick, David Bowie has acted in quite a few movies, I know my uncle has seen everyone movie he has been in, including a recent Sponge Bob movie.

Re: Nikola Tesla

I finally watched the you tube video on him and all I can say is WOW. I never knew that much about the Man but he was a great inventor and basically got Screwed over by his own country and the world too I think.

Flick, I now see why you have the passion for him, he is way under recognized and should be in all our history books. Wonder how a person would go about getting that changed?

My apologies if I offended you about Nikola Tesla in any of my comments.... I just never knew anything about him...

He should be in the history books. Did you see how he discovered how to pull free electric out of the ions & JP Morgan realized he couldnt charge so he pulled the backing on the project.

Yes, he was done pretty dirty all the way around. The world, as a whole owes him a lot. My daughter saw the movie you posted a while back and told me something about him but she said it was the first time she had heard his name, it's sad really, that people every day plug into an outlet and get power and never even know how that power came to be.....

I wonder if the tower he started is still there? Wonder if anyone thought to preserve it? That would be cool.

Re: Nikola Tesla

I'm far from being able to conceive what this world is about.
I'm an ant compared to the mysteries out there .

Flicks Passion for the GREAT Nikola Tesla ,has been with me most of my life.
I'm really glad that Flick put this thread together .

Think of Nikola Tesla as you would Einstein .
You could take the rest of your life studying Nikola and you'd
still never understand half of what he knew. He was in touch
with the universe and had he been able to continue his work
undisturbed by the his peers and our government . Our world as we
now know it, would be as different as Cavemen are to us now.

I was born in New York, not far from the site of where Nikola was
building his largest free electric coils .
People and our Government were afraid of him. His ideas were so radical.
that they shook the foundations of what was considered possible to the Impossible . Our administrations have always felt that we the people
are better kept Ignorant , ( In the Dark ). Tesla's work and ideas threatened
the fine balance between the the Elite & the proletariats.

Our leaders knew his work may change the " Status Quo " that the " Elitists " ( Government ) had fought to achieve for centuries .

OK no more of my Ideas on this, because I could run on forever.

Now I hope anyone that hadn't heard of Nikola Tesla, has my ant view
of how Great this man was .

Re: Nikola Tesla

Although, I may have heard of Tesla before, but after seeing this thread, haven't realized how much impact he made--and yet, still many things unknown to this day and sought after. Cool stuff--thanks for bringing it up!

Just think, imagine an axe giving off a great display!! Nowww...that'd be cool!
