That was the opening of new Harley Davidson dealership Harley Heaven...there were gangsters there...I heard anyway. But that's why there was free booze and entry...because it was an opening of a dealership. We played covers Born to Be Wild and Highway to Hell...it was fun.

True, and in this case beauty is only skin deep! She is clearly the person that stole EC's Beano Les Paul. I was able to identify it through the unusual black and white colour scheme.

Well, we haven't even recorded a proper EP or album yet! We're doing that in February 2009 (well, beginning that) and hope to have it done (mix, pressed, etc) by about April. But that's not completely confirmd yet.

And then one day we hope to tour the US of course! I guess we just need money...so hopefully we get picked up by a label...or win the lottery!

JJ French, the guitar player for Twisted Sister, used to write a column in Guitar Player for the Practicing Musician - a long gone publication that I'm sure many of us here used to own piles of. He wrote an article about how when they were starting out -and if you remember, they used a LOT of make up and hairspray- they were in a biker bar and a bunch of Hells Angels came in and start raising hell. Things weren't looking good for the girlish band, the bikers were starting to get threatening. So they whipped out "Born to Be Wild", dedicated to the bikers in the crowd, and the Hell's Angels went nuts and cheered them on and then took off. Owner of the bar later said that the week before the bikers destroyed the place and the band really cooled them off. Moral of the story: always know "Born to Be Wild."

My dad has a similar story from when he played bass in his band...these bikers made his band play Black Sabbath and Deep Purple songs over and over again! (my dad was a really tall skinny dude back then too...hehehe, with long hair).

Re: Kristel Blackman - Les Paul Girl #14 - 12/18/08

Band sounds nice, girls look good, my only complaint is *and I am sorry, just trying to keep it real*, the drummer.

Drummers timing is off, she needs a click track or something to help her.

If the drummer tightened her playing up , the band bound sound much tighter. Guitars sound great though

I only comment since I played drums for 12 years as I was growing up, I also used to DJ for about 8+ years, so timing just jumps out at me like a glaring beam of light.

Cheers!

Re: Kristel Blackman - Les Paul Girl #14 - 12/18/08

Not my cup of tea, her band. But I alway give credit to people going out and playing live and recording. Lead Guitar sounds a bit too generic and too many pitch harmonics, hope this is taken as constructive feedback.
