Finally got my dream amp this week

I posted this up in the squawk box section but only got one reply.

Maybe I'll do better here where I make 95% of my posts. Here goes again:

I've been searching for a relatively low watt, high-gain, all-tube amp for a couple years now and I finally hit the jackpot with an amp that suits my needs perfectly. I have owned several tube amps before(Laney GH100TI, ENGL Fireball, Orange Rocker 30) all of which were either overkill in the wattage dept. or not enough gain for metal. Amps I considered were the Egnater Rebel-20 and the Fender Blues Jr.(still may get one of those someday). I finally settled on the 20 watt KranK Revolution Jr. Pro and couldn't possibly be happier. The 'Kleen' channel goes from pristine with some nice chime up to a decent crunch. The 'KranK' channel is capable of providing brutal distortion that is heavy and tight, yet defined and not over-saturated. It can get quite loud and I am planning to get a THD Hotplate to make it more useful. I also got a Fulltone OCD pedal today.

Nice setup - glad you found something that works for you. What pickup is in the front of the Tele?

It's a '57 classic pup. That Tele is from the Fender Japan Custom Shop and is the Keith Richards 'MICAWBER' model.

I was gonna get this amp, but got the Egnater Rebel 20 instead. Still want one of these at some point though.

Oh, that's classic. I did just the opposite -it came down to either the Rebel-20 or this KranK and despite the many desirable features of the Egnator, I went with the KranK because of the high-gain metal capability. However, it is very, very versatile and certainly not only good for hard rock/metal.
