Les Paul Girl of the Week #8 - 5/21/07

Congrats to Nancy from Texas for making Les Paul Girl of the Week #8!

Tell us about your musical experience

I began playing guitar & performing at the age of 9. My older brother who played in a rock band taught me how to play. Over the years, I played in several rock bands & performed throughout the state.

What would you like people to know about your band? Got a Website?

We are a 3-piece and our music is best described as Pop-Rock with a heavy edge and melodic vocals. The only website we have at the moment is www.myspace.com/nancysilvaproject

Who are your biggest musical influences?

My main influence was my brother who listened to Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bad Company and Black Sabbath. Life, loss, love, hurt, emptiness, Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Trent Reznor (NIN).

What do you love most about your Les Paul?

It just feels right and I love the tone. I will play nothing else but a Les Paul.

Funniest thing that happened to you on the road, stage or backstage?

Nothing comes to mind.

Where do you see yourself a few years from now?

I will still be writing & playing music, hopefully playing large venues in front of thousands of people.

To learn more about her, check out her MySpace profile at www.myspace.com/nancysilvaproject

Flick, I couldn't find what you were referring to.

Why is she not a Les Paul girl? She is a girl and is shown with a Les Paul.
What constitutes a "Les Paul Girl" ??
