Beard, moustache or clean?

I go for a 2 week beard look as I'm lazy and hate shaving. It'll grow for two weeks, get hot n itchy, shave it off, makes my head look small, then repeat.

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

I grow a full beard in two to three days. Consequently, the look varies often

Usually rotate between Mutton Chops, into a Sailor's Beard, Into a Goat, repeat. At least once a month I do butcher it all off

Neat and Clean. Beards are a sign of laziness, and or vanity.

I usually have a goatie, but when I work in the refineries, we can't have any facial hair below the corners of the mouth so I just go clean shaven.

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

Didn't grow a beard until I was about 40, and have had one since then. I like that it generally keeps the riff raff to a dull roar, nobody just randomly trying to make friendly small talk with the biker looking guy. Works for me, as I generally don't like people.

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

I gots me a beard most of the time. Well, it's more like a mustache and beard - as they don't quite connect, but it's the same idea. I've tried just a goatee, but anytime I do, I go write back to the beard.

Without any facial hair, I look like I'm 12 years old. Thus, I need something.

Here, I'll just show you what I mean.

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

Scruff beard, use a beard trimmer when it gets too big (once to twice a month), shave my neck twice a week to avoid the wonderful itch with the added effect of keeping the beard linear.

Been really tempted to go clean shaven the past few weeks, but i look infantile so we will see.

True enough, sometimes. I think beards are anti-vanity though.

I did forget a couple:
Soul patch
Van Dyke aka the Beatnick. - lower goatee without the moe. Any more?

If you're anything like me, ten minutes after you shave you'll be wondering "now, why the hell did I go and do that?".

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

I shave my beard off and then let it grow wild and free until I can't stand it anymore. Sometimes it's two weeks sometimes its a month or two. I'm actually gonna see how long I can go without shaving this time.

Use a beard trimmer, so I have a bit of stubble. Don't like a wet shave, makes my face look like a well skelped arse.

I go many ways. Had mountain man beard. Fu. Goat .Muttons. Never went for the AMISH =no mustache +goatee,I could not believe when that went mainstream. The Quaker look is sexy? Now , clean. Some stubble. Night out =clean. Stubble looks sloppy under the lights.

I use a trimmer to maintain a 2 or 3 day stubble. my face looks too "dainty" without it.

Re: Beard, moustache or clean?

Do you guys succumb to female pressure, ie shave or grow depending on what your lady likes? I solved that by getting rid of the lady. Don't know if that was a good move or not. It's easier to grow hair than find a good lady.

And the ladies out there, what do you like?

And River, a moe is a miss-spelt mustache abbreviated. Or Moe Syzlack. I'd rather have hair sitting on my lips than Moe Syzlack though.

Last time i shaved was in December and i was freaking out about it the whole day, i had the same beard from September (trimmed and groomed though) and was heartbroken i messed it up. I know i look better without the beard, but for some reason it gives me confidence, IE i look older or something.

I've been told different things from different women about beard preference though-- i can't imagine they'd prefer to make out with a bearded dude compared to a clean shaven one TBH
