Re: How would you like to spend your Sunday?

I'll be taking my 1962 Ludwig kit over to my Son's home and setting it up to surprise his younger Son who's been jonesin' for some nice drums. This kit was given to me by my Dad and Mom 50 years ago this past Christmas and has given me countless hours of joy as well as a decent 2d income at times. On his death bed, my Dad asked if I still had "those drums". I laughed and told him they would always be in our family. Today is huge for me. Hope yours is every bit as nice.

Working six days a week, Sundays are my day to relax, other than doing some laundry "I need work clothes for the week"
I like to chill & play some guitar in between reading the forums @MLP!

Re: How would you like to spend your Sunday?

Just got back from vacation last night. Sunday is, so far, catching up on communications, ordering a pizza for lunch, unpacking and having a couple of cocktails to pretend I'm still on vacation before having to face the reality of having to go back to work tomorrow morning.

Thanks, mon, I appreciate that. I'll get some pics when my Grand see's 'em for the first time in his room. If he feels anything like I did when I first got them, it'll last him a lifetime. I still get the same rush when I spotlight 'em as I did when I was a kid.

I'm going to spend the day recovering from shoveling this morning. Maybe drink some scotch, and lament the fact I live in a trailer park and can't afford a reissue. Play some Epiphones when I catch my breath.

Hey Dave, I see that you own a Challenger, that was my first Gibson ! I bought mine brand new also in 85 or 86; silver finish with one humbucker.
I boought another a couple of years ago from Ebay, a natural finish with 2 buckers, but it just didn't re-create that vibe for me so I didn't keep it long.

Mine's been a real beater/war-horse over the years. Originally, mine was silver as well, but two pickup. Here she is now. Cheers.

The R0 through the Bluesbreaker.

Throw in a Tone Bender for good measure.

I played the SG Classic through the old Marshall for the first time in a long time, earlier. The rest of the day will be the Classic through the virtual reality or the Mustang I. I am lazy and the Mustang is just too easy.

Re: How would you like to spend your Sunday?

The way I did spend it.
I got up.
Late.
I had some breakfast.
Late.
I had some lunch.
Late.
I had dinner.
Late.
I just had a beer (proper English, real ale, beer) and may have another in a moment.
My whole day has been entirely unproductive.
I haven't even pulled the curtains back.
Top Gear's on in ten minutes.
Then I shall gently retire, listening to some Progtronic, before going back to work routine tomoz.
It's a tough life.
