My Dog Ate My Post

In another somewhat religiously-charged thread (if you know the one I mean, you KNOW the one I mean), I was in the process of typing up a witty (or so I thought) response, when my dog decided he wanted to get up on the bed.

(He's a small-and-middle-aged-dog; it's a high bed. You do the math.)

So I set the laptop aside, leaned over to pick him up, and when I set him on the bed, he walked across the laptop and - most importantly - the trackpad.

In the process of trekking across the trackpad - and keyboard - he somehow managed to highlight the test that was written in the reply box. Not only did he manage to do that, but he also managed to erase what was highlighted therein.

Not only THAT, but he also managed to type something else in the box, so that when I used the old ctrl/cmnd-Z "undo" trick - well... suffice it to say that I didn't - COULDN'T - get my original text back.

And I've no idea what I wrote there in the first place - but I have the feeling that it was very close to crossing - if not over - the forum's boundaries.

Could just might be that he saved me from a ban... who knows?

I vote that he gets to sleep on the bed tonight.

So it's true: dog is god spelled backwards, and dog didn't want you contributing that to the thread.
