I am very, very happy to be single.

Had THE old flame coming back after me, and was bummed about the whole fiasco of old-- really flipping out for the last couple of weeks and no help in sight... until late last night. That's when I somehow got to thinkin' about how much suck is entailed by all the snags and restrictions that a proper relationship entails.

So I've been smiling all day today. Life is just too damned short for any more unnecessary difficulties arising from the inevitable butt hurt of one's paramour. The only important thing to me is that we've restored our former friendship-- a thing that I never did figure would happen. Thus, I am happy to quit while I am ahead.

I am aware that she's trying to get a bead on me with her harpoon gun, though-- same as a few others who would love to indulge themselves in the sort of security I have to offer them these days. Of course, they used to walk all over me back when I was Sir Trueheart and poor as a church mouse...

And I'd go for one of 'em too, except that all of a sudden, I'd have an irascible, moody, shot-caller on my case-- and I just won't allow that to happen ever again.

FTW. My house cat is bad enough, and he can't even talk!

Old man told me two things. One is that there are only three things a married couple fight about, sex, money and the kids. Get those in order the rest is small stuff. Second, doesn't matter where you get your appetite, long as you eat at home.
