Tone book
I am not big on chasing tone. I have been lucky in that when I looked for a particular tone, I was able to get it. It's my tone - Not someone elses... That might account for the ease with which I have gotten it... Nonetheless, improvements are always welcome...
My nephew recently gave me this book and raved about. I just finished it and I have to say I learned a ton from this book. Even if you have your tone, check this out...

Re: Tone book
Does his book include a chapter where he writes that wood doesn't make a difference in tone, nor does fretboard? That only pickups have some kind of an influence on the tone of a guitar? If not, that book is not for most of this forum's members...

One thing that surprised me was that Santana was not in that list. He has such a distinctive style and tone that I know immediately who is playing within a few notes... Weird... Well, you can't make everyone happy
