I hope you're back to kicking ass soon man! Just take it easy, make sure your guitars are taken care of, and don't go trying to wack it too soon. Glad you're okay.

I ended up with a broken ankle, 2 cracked ribs, and my left hand is torn up a little and has 2 broken fingers. i think the worst part of it is the damn road rash. I wanted to cry like a little girl when they were scrubbing that crap out. All should be ok, I just had to stay in the hospitol for a coulpe days because of a concusion. I can't get out to see my bike yet. It's killing me to know how bad it ended up. Again, thanks to everyone for the warm wishes and concerne.

Road rash sucks! Along with broken bones and a concussion, must not be feeling great. I hope you'll be right fine and back to normal soon, and it already looks like you're in good spirits.

Re: Forum Brother, Bear in Motorcycle Accident

Hit from behind - fxck me...

This ALMOST happened to me a couple times over the years - vinyl seat was sucked up my ass in anticipation.

In one instance, I knew the dumb b!tch driving the car who nearly hit me.
I reached back (still sitting on my bike), smacked a fist on her hood and pointed at her.
I think she was way more scared than I was - GOOD!

Bear - good on ya!

And I'll repeat; here's hoping the bike's recovery isn't too painful or drawn out either.

Be cool.

I believe we can take care of that in November Brother.

I would like to send a bit of a special thanks to Ray from Grinning Elk Music. When I didn't show up Saturday, he somehow know something wasn't right. He called my home early Sunday and told my wife that he, Victor and Sam were concerned. When my wife told him what happened, he called her 3 times to make sure I was OK.

Wow, Bear, I just found out about this! I'm hoping for a full recovery...for both you, and the bike! Looking forward to seeing, and hanging out with out at fall Philly, my friend.

Take care,

It was weird, because you wrote to me that morning about the knuckle head drivers down there, and when you didn't show... What were the chances?

Mr. Bear sir.
I'm afraid I do not know you, other than you may be responsible for depleting stocks of fruit and nuts in certain of my favourite foraging grounds.
That aside, and as a fellow biker, I wish you well and hope you are not too uncomfortable.
I also hope you followed your momma's advice and had on clean underwear, or as clean as any bear might when away from the woods.

Hey Bear,
I didn't even know that you were on the way Saturday morning. It was Victor that came over and said that something must be wrong. That's when we started calling. Who would have ever thought that we would be talking about missing bears at a guitar show?

Re: Forum Brother, Bear in Motorcycle Accident

What exactly happened?

I had many a close call in my riding days. A few brushing.

And fell over all by myself a few times.

I finally had to stop all together when my eyesight got so bad that I became the road hazard.

No depth perception and not being able to see much left of center made it too dangerous for me and everyone else.

How were the steaks?

Like my dear friend AXE, apart from little "poot!" "poot!" (or "poof!" "poof!" ) small bore bikes, I am a liability on anything tasty thus my riding days are over.

I was merging from a double lane to a single lane, when I got into the single lane, traffic slowed and an old lady got right up on my rear wheel. Its a little hazy to me, but what I was told was that once her front end caught the rear wheel, it was enough to turn my forks and launch me off. The bike slid a little ways and dug in. I haven't been able to find out if anyone took pics of the scene yet. I know I just got my helmet, cell phone and wallet back, and the crack in my helmet is not looking so hot, man. I normally ride with no helmet. I am hoping the shop it went to had to take pics for insurance purposes so I can see how bad the bike is.
