Kids like those are pretty extreme. I'd say the kids around here are almost
that malicious, but not to the adult's face. It's still pretty terrible that some of
the kids here can even come close to that, but those kids are awful. I did not

In my personal opinion, those kids have actually managed to earn an asswhooping.
I fear it's the only thing that would teach them a lesson.

I think corporal punishment should be an option when neccessary, just like any other form of punishment.
I'm not talking about beating a kid around the head (I've seen kids that were beaten and it's not pretty).

My dad very rarely hit me, but when he did it was one open palmed whack to my back - lesson learned.
Because I knew that was always an option (however slight), it kept me in line. There's a huge difference in behavour between a 0 percent chance of getting hit and a 1 percent chance of getting hit.

Someone saw that video on facebook and put it on YT with names.
I think the woman should have gone to the driver though and stopped the bus, warned them to stop or if not call the Police or Transport supervisor.
That kind of thing has happened here and that's pretty much what they do. Kids get suspended and sometimes banned from School transport for a while.

I read some of the comments on YT..wow. That worries me. They don't realize a comment like that could lead into all sorts of trouble.

This morning we were made aware of a troubling video that was posted to YouTube depicting students ridiculing a bus monitor. We were able to confirm that the woman in the video is a Greece Central School District employee. We immediately activated our district bullying and violence prevention response team to investigate and contacted the Greece Police Department to conduct their own investigation.

We have discovered other similar videos on YouTube and are working to identify all of the students involved. Links to the YouTube posts were also forwarded to members of the media, some of whom have reported inaccurate and concerning information including names and addresses of students alleged to be involved in the incidents. The bus involved in this incident was carrying middle school students – all of whom are juveniles. Although their behavior was inexcusable, we also have concern for the safety of all involved. We urge patience to allow us to investigate and determine the appropriate discipline.

Currently, our district security staff and Greece Police are interviewing all of those involved. The Greece Police Department has assigned an investigator to partner with us. The Greece Central School District is committed to providing students and staff with a safe environment that respects the dignity of all. We do not tolerate harassment of staff or students.

While we cannot comment on specific student discipline, we can say that students found to be involved will face strong disciplinary action. We will continue our ongoing bullying prevention and awareness training to ensure that incidents like this do not occur in the future. Specifically, the Greece Central School District has recently adopted the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, a systemic approach involving all community stakeholders to reduce bullying and other anti-social behaviors.

I know from experience, certainly not all assh*le kids come from poor families with only one parent at home.

It has already, but unfortunately there are threats that have been made to the kids on the bus to kill them..and not only that some of the names posted are not of those who were involved.
Some of those comments on YT are very worrying. Direct threats to kill them with bullets.

I'm a single mum. My son has done very well and I'm always praised on how well mannered and a good young man he is. Some of his school mates who come from two parent upbringing with good jobs, good homes etc.. ended up going off the rail. Not their parents fault either, just bad company they started getting into.

Typical district double talk. I'm a middle school teacher, and this is the typical response. The district is hoping this goes away, and is swept under the rug. Nothing of any real magnitude will happen to the kids. "...a systemic approach involving all community stakeholders to reduce bullying and other anti-social behaviors... " is the language administrators use which means - please don't sue us.

Ten years ago the kids that could be identified would have been put up for expulsion, not now. Those kids will probably each get a 3-5 day vacation, I mean suspension.

At least a lot of people are seeing how kids act. America is raising a bunch of predatory little monsters. That kind of behavior is a daily occurrence in classrooms at my school. School administrators now ask the kids, "what did the teacher say to make you mad?" I hate to say it, but that's the reality. All districts really care about are money, law suits, and money.

That's my rant on this topic.

If my kids did this or ever do something like this.....

I would truly be disgusted and horrified. I wouldn't be able to beat them. My first rule is no spankings when I am mad. If I resort to spankings it cannot be an emotional reaction.

They would lose everything they own. They would be lucky if I gave them a few white t-shirts, some generic blue jeans, and a mattress. They need to learn respect, that comes from work, hard work. I'm sure all the older people in the neighborhood would appreciate the free labor. If he works hard and shows some respect I might even give him his pillow back.

If he gets picked on at school because of his generic cloths, shoes, and wearing the same outfit everyday. Well, so be it, he seems to find it funny so maybe he will enjoy it.
