That stuff tastes good, but damn it's got some bite.

Speaking of bite, I was at a bar with a couple friends one day, and a lady asked for a shot of whiskey in her beer, because it didn't have enough bite

Re: Jim beam vs Jack daniel's?

I used to drink Jack, but got in horrific car accident while sipping it, rolled off a river bank at 85 , hit three trees tore off the roof and ripped the rear speaker for the car and sent them flying. they found them laying 100 ft from the car. I walked away with a broken shoulder , I was lucky. after that I switched to Beam and never looked back, LOL. And I never drove while drinking again. (shout out to M.A. D. D.) I dont drink much the last twenty , but when I do. Beam.

As some have mentioned it's bourbon all the way...No other whiskey can compete with Kentucky Straight Bourbon!

1792 has been my choice for a bit now. CHEERS!!

Re: Jim beam vs Jack daniel's?

I think remnants of charcoal from the filtering of Jack, made their way through the Jack... to me, very harsh. Beam all the way...

Re: Jim beam vs Jack daniel's?

For sipping, neither. For mixing, Beam is "cleaner" Jack is sweeter.

For sipping Knob Creek or Bookers, and if you really want to treat yourself to an incredible Bourbon, Van Winkle is king, but it's really hard to find.

Bookers was my favorite til I did a blind test with Van Winkle, Bookers, Woodford and Knob Creek.

Jim Beam. Jack Daniels is over-priced turpentine and melted brown crayons.

Re: Jim beam vs Jack daniel's?

if I had to choose between JB and Jack..

I would chose

or maybe some Tyrconnell..

Jack I can only stand heavily diluted with cola, and JB I will never drink again after I gave myself alcohol poisoning with that as a teenager..
