Re: If the founding fathers were alive today
Lincoln would drive a Lincoln
Jefferson would have the Batmobile edit: Damn, just looked it up, Lincoln isn't a founder. Bummer,....that was a good joke. |

Re: If the founding fathers were alive today
Whatever car it was, they'd be really old, so the turn signal would be constantly flashing.

I'm not betting on Government Motors. I'd like to think they'd all be riding Harleys.

Re: If the founding fathers were alive today
Ben Franklin would be driving a Volt. Washington and Jefferson would be driving something black.

Re: If the founding fathers were alive today
Adams would drive an F-150, he was an actually farmer as well as a lawyer and Hancock would drive a Hummer, he was like 5'2 and really liked to overcompensate as his signature suggests.

Re: If the founding fathers were alive today
If they were alive today, and had been involved in directing the country, they would all drive American made cars - not because they are American made, but because they would be the best in the world. However, those American made cars wouldn't look like today's American made cars. They would be the epitome of automobile excellence and quality and the world leaders in every facet of manufacturing. The same would be true of most things manufactured in America. We would have a much lower percentage of the population functioning as societal parasites and we'd still be in touch with some of those cliches like "a day's work for a day's pay."
