How Good Are Your Ears? Guess My Gear

__________________

here is a snippet of a solo from a song i recorded back in 19 and 72

the name of the band was, Mars Hall

both the solo and rhythm tracks were recorded using the same guitar and amp

if you know me, it should be a slam dunk – but then, maybe not...

best guesses welcomed

It's you playing, sounds good. Could be a plank into a Dansette. It's you playing, sounds good.

ES-175 into a Standel?

Honestly, I can't tell. Best guess would be a Deluxe into a Marshall, maybe with a Superfuzz in front.
There is some octave action happening but not I believe via an octaver.

yeah, Mars Hall, Marshall, i thought i was sooo clever

not going to drag this out forever – hopefully, a few more guesses and another correct answer or two should do

my hope is once i post the answer it may generate another discussion – or be completely anti–climatic

appreciate the participation

I'm going to venture a Les Paul with both pickups on (with the bridge pu slightly dominant but with some tone rolled off) into a Plexi, mic'd through a SM-57?

Rickenbacker 12 string

maybe a Gretsch 12 string in to your Mars Hall (could even be an AC30 with a pedal)

I would say (before I saw your post) LP or some kind of HB git onto Marshall or other Brit amp. Sounds good.

Right, if no pedals must be a twelve string. Unless the lead is double-tracked?
