But, to address the bigger question, if I may be so bold. I don't want to presume too much, since Phil is the poser (of the question that is), but I think the evidence shows the man (onehippie) is an urban myth, concocted in the warped imagination of the collective subconscious of Forum members, harking back to happier times, and looking to the horizon for a messianic musos to lead them ...home?

Yep. I'm skeptical too. But does sound like maybe a demo. A fair imitation of Paul if not, don't you think?

That one you posted before was..The guy had a really good voice. A bit over the top with American Trilogy but never the less not an autotune in sight.

The first selection was blocked. American Trilogy did play but gave me an error message 2:30 in. Said try again later.

I loved the b&w footage I found earlier. Those dancers!! Is that '60s or what!!? I was vaguely aware of Mr. Proby, but on this side of the pond I don't think he's that well known. Was always a big fan of Cliff Richard.

It's a great album. Very overlooked I feel. Got turned on to it in a London record store in my visit in '72. Every song a gem. I'll post more if you like. That distorted lead was a classical guitar! I don't think there's a steel string on the album anywhere!

Nah.. Never did sports.. Spent all my time bunking off playing guitar..
I was the only person in the school to get thrown off the school football team and I was only the linesman.
" What are you doing boy?"..

"Watching planes come into land Sir "..

"Get off the pitch now, you are a disgrace to the school"..

F*ck his stupid football team, I never wanted to be a part of it anyway.. Watching Lockheed Constelations on finals was far more fun..

Don't talk to me about knuckledragging with legs like yours.. You look like a f*cking chimp when you walk.
