No way was he serious, and we all knew each other very well.

He's be fired in a heartbeat today.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often honestly-- professors can be such assholes, i've had to restrain myself from using physical violence on a few of mine, of course that would mean just a right cross or something i'd never threaten to kill anyone
