What do you guys not fix??

What do you guys concider to be a "beyond do it myself" problem???

I personally would rather send out complicated circut board issues to be diagnosed by someone who is more equiped than myself. If it can be diagnosed with a multimeter Im good otherwise it goes out.

I don't do plumbing, thats my wifes specialty (her dad was a plumber and she was daddy's girl). I try not to do anything to far above ground level, other than that I will try just about anything.

Dogs and cats - not that I'm opposed to it - I just leave it to the pros!

As for guitars - I'd probably tackle anything simple - solder doesn't scare me for example. I'd tackle a refin - but I've never done frets, or glued things back together that were in splinters.

If I'm going to try something I've never done before - I'll usually research it to death - and I usually do better than average.

I don't try anything I might F. up worse and cause me to spend more money on someone fixing it correctly.

Re: What do you guys not fix??

anything on my body... broken bones, ect.... lmao... my dad once hit his thumb with a hammer and got this AWFUL blood blister under the nail... it started swelling and he said it was increadable pressure under the nail itself and was causing him a lot of pain, it was all red/black... well, he is a real DIY kind of guy... what he did was take a power drill and put a very skinny bit in it... then he placed his thumb on the table with the nail side facing up and placed the drill/bit in the center of his thumb nail, then used the drill (pressure sensitive trigger on the drill) to very slowly drill a hole though the nail. he said blood spewed out when it went though... but after wiping it off the said the pressure was gone as well as the pain. lol... keep in mind he did steralize the drill bit and his thumb before starting... either way still dont try it at home kids

No, but that's what they'd do if he went in to have it checked out (not with the drill though). You can DIY home stitches with crazy glue too...again not something you should try unless you know a little bit about that stuff. I had to take care of Bole's eye once when the cat scratched it. That's the only stuff I will do at home is the medical stuff. Plumbing and electrical work and water heaters I call in the people that know what they're doing.
